Dear Sir or Madam,:

My name is Edgardo Diaz del Guercio and am willing to perform the wake of the profession of the eye. A dedicated task to approach people pained by the weight of his lost eye and tell them that there is a different way of seeing things when he uses his hands takes work to make your empty smile.

To receive daily inquiries from people lacking information about the solution that represents an adaptation of a custom ocular prosthesis. In fact we know that the real pain, to an evisceration or enucleation, not exactly in the surgery.

That injuty only visible as an island, is growing in the deeper pain we go. We have created the first prosthetic eye center in Gijón, Asturias, where they provide information and assistance.

The goal is to work together for the benefit of this disadvantaged sector of care for years, thus recovering some of what was lost. Our technique has improved over time and the emotional experience of the results demonstrates the potential of each case awaits resolution.

Finally I thenk all those ophthalmologists who trust in my professionalism. Tell them that this project attention was growing with the help of many people, which made possible the crystallization of this idea and no doubt will grow more as we verify with results in each of the patients.
